EU co-funded project CHEOPS VHP BB advances high-power electric propulsion for future space missions

The Horizon Europe project CHEOPS VHP BB (Very High Power Hall Propulsion Building Blocks) has successfully concluded at the end of February 2026 after 30 months of collaborative research and development.

As part of the CHEOPS VHP BB project, the ICARE laboratory focused on potential failure modes of Hall effect thrusters during flight in space.
